Just a few pics for those who like to see fish. A mate from work just got back from a spinning trip up at Hervey Bay. Plenty of macks longtails and more. Macks were ok sized but Longys were good size up to 15kg, with most 8-10kg. All fish were caught on 20lb braid on 4000 size spin reels with t-curve rods, while spinning at surface schools.

Haven't been up there for quite a few years....Awesome place for light tackle spinning for good fighting fish! Many times up there we hooked into tuna barely a few km's from the shore!
Brings back some fond memories there Stef!!!:headbang:

Gee those Macs are sooooo fat! Last year there were none in the H Bay for weeks, and those from outside were so thin ,amazing how a drought breaks and the baitfish & predators come back so quickly !
Like they say "A drought on land makes a drought in the sea".:headbang:
