Nice Bream caught by a nine year old in Lake Macquarie. Using green prawns. Unfortunately no one bothered to weigh it (just ate it).
The kids get the good fish, don't they?
I can't get the photo in. Can anyone help?

hehehe, lets say beginners luck... very nice bream, dark colours... i have a theory that, silver ones tastes better than the darker ones, because of the environment they're in???

Nice bream, the smile says it all....

I agree Boris, the bright silver ones always seem to taste better than the darker bronze ones...

I've always assumed these fish have spent more time living in clean, clear water than their darker cousins who spend most of their life living in weedy muddy areas...

This was caught amongst the mangroves in Black Ned's Bay. (A bit weedy)

I agree, theres nothing like the colour of a honker bream being dragged up the sand. When there that bright silver, ohhhhhh....... might have to put some diesel in the hilux and have a chuck off the beach.............. But ill eat the dark ones too!!! Im not that biased!!!
