For those that don't know me, I get very passionate about my fishing, and my fishing rights. To date I have not posted anything political on Fish Finder, but the way things are I feel compelled.
I am sure that most of you would love to be able to get there and do your bit. But it will be the case that some won't be able to make it. You can still do your bit.

It is a .PDF file published by the ECOFishers. If you work in a public place, such as a shop, then print it of and bung it on the counter. The more people that know, the better our prospects are. Take a copy to your local Tacklo, or even pin it on the public noticeboards that are available at most shopping centres.
We can all do our bit.
A protest has been organised by Ecofishers. Following are the details.
I know it is short notice, but I'm sure everyone will be trying to get to it to have themselves heard. I for one will be forgoing my usual Saturday fish to do my bit. Come on, lets all GET INVOLVED! This a protest for YOUR rights. To tell the government what YOU feel about their plans to lock us out.

COMMUNITY PROTEST AGAINST MARINE AND NATIONAL PARK LOCKOUTS
State Labor Annual Conference
11am Saturday 10-6-06 Sydney Town Hall
This is your chance to make a difference. The Labor annual conference is on next Saturday.
• Show Labor that you will not accept unjustifiable lockouts from National and Marine Parks
• Demand sensible conservation policies
• Tell them you will not tolerate the trade in your rights for Green preferences
• Put Labor back on track - make them answer to their heartland.
The people spoke out strongly to stop the sale of the Snowy. In the same way you can stop marine park madness in its tracks. But you need to act. The future of your outdoor rights and freedoms is firmly in your hands.
Sydney fishers – We need help now. Support your country cousins who have copped a hiding over this issue.
