Hey Guys I'm new here and my name is Mike. I have had this eagle cuda 126 fish finder now for 5 years. It has always work perfect until last week end. the water temp is accurate but the depth is way off. I have cleaned the transducer with soap and water and no change. Even if I hold my hand in the way of the transducer it does not change the depth. My finder shows 30-50 feet deep and will not go below the 30 ft mark. Is this a bad transducer or should I just go buy a new fish finder?

Prob best getting a new unit.
Know Sierra Foxtrot Alpha about your sounder but I'd be checking to see if you've got it in auto mode.
Switch over to manual & set the depth you want it to read @

problem is the unit it self. I borrowed a buddies new cuda 168 and plugged her in and everything is perfect. I am looking for a new unit now. thanks for the input I tried just like you said and no change.

Well if left on auto the unit will keep scanining to find a depth & why I mentioned it.
By switching over to manual mode it would've been pretty easy to figure out if the unit was playing up
