Having a look at Sydneys water ways, Ive noticed that with regards to fishing Brisbane waters get hardly any mention. Why is this? Is it not good fishing or something?

Too far mate.
Its a 12 hour drive!
:rolling laughter:
Abu, its similar to the Hacking, very clear water, and the water runs very hard in places. Biggest flatty we ever got was int here amongst the mangroves. 1.1m absolute horse!9kg. Got it trolling a Lure too.
There are some Whiting and Bream, also Jews around the rip bridge and half tide rocks. A mate pulls some nice Jews out of 4m of water there but thats in a boat.

Mate its a great waterway, doesn't fish like it did 20 yrs ago-too much siltation and pollution from developments around Kariong and East Gosford....Theres still some good spots but like most places these days you have to put in a few hours to get a fair result!
Kamil, a mate of mine up there reguarly fishes at a spot near Iguana Joes and catches good sized bream, flatties and the occasional jew-its been a hot spot for as long as I can remember!
