CoalCliff/ Stanwell Park report

Again headed out to Coalcliff again. Watere conditions were betetr this time but still abit edgy when fishing. Started fishing around midday . Wasnt gettin anyhting. Was using pillies as bait under a floaty but zilch. So moved to stanwell park beach to try my luck there. Was a couple of alrite gutters but the current was to strong n was speewing the bait out of the gutters. There were 2 blokes that got a couple of sambo's but thatz about it. Did get bitten off what i beleive was a Tailor after winding in to chek me bait only to see the gangs were gone. Anywayz had a good day anywayz enjoyed me day off work.

Hey fishman, bit quiet down there hey....I used to catch a few every trip when I first started going bout 5yrs ago but it really has slowed in the last 3yrs, still holds good squid.......I'v had some good reports from mates who've been down hill60 and Breakwall @port lately....Will be down coalcliff late next week to give my new combo a go (finally-been paying it off for a few months, new shimano rod and 6500 reel....) can't wait, hopefully the salmon and maybe something a bit bigger will come out to play!

thats where i used to fish untill i found other spots..but i fished the other rock over that side..gotta jump the fence then climb the hill 1st tho..

I know where you mean whytri....Each spot has its good and bad days but the other side of the bridge is definately a much better proposition so long as you don't mind a couple of trips up and down the old metal ladder!
