The details for the Sydney Harbour One Day Triton Pro Bream event are:
Sunday 2nd July
Sign on 7.00am at Bayview Park (that's when the park opens).
Briefing & Start 7.30am.
One session, 7.30am - 2.00pm.
5 fish/angler bag limit.
Congratulations, by the way to Brendon Hughes for his record bag of 5 fish for 4.97kg - it looks like that might be a record for Yellowfin Bream (as opposed to Black, Victorian bream). He's claiming it, anyway. Does anyone know of a bigger bag of yellowfin in a tournament?
see you there!

ps, without wishing to offend any Italian anglers, Go the Socceroos!

7;30 start? you must be cooking breakfast for all of us before it are you Chris?
Yep that is the biggest bag of yellowfin bream by an indavidual angler in a competition, previously was Andy Howard with 4.88kg in an ABT round at Forster.

Well done Brendan it seems as though it could be a record but some clarification is needed. The last day bag weigh in on the Oz open of 5.03kg bag from Greg and Pat, but this was a teams event so its sounding like its an individual record but not and overall record for yellowfins.

At the end of the day its a top bag and hopefully some sort of record for you.

7:30 start. how good is that. A sleep in yeeehaaaaahhhhh

Cheers

It should be ok, no promises, but it was hard work last weekend.

There is always fish, it just a matter of finding them this time of year.

A lot of reports are coming in from the rock hoppers that they are starting to nail some 2kg plus breambo's and a lot of 1.5kgs down to 500gms, reports started coming in last weekend. Looks like it's going to be hard for a couple of months as the resident bream are going to get harder to entice them into striking our lures because of how many they are going to be seeing flashing past them.:maad: :frown: :maad: :frown:

Jason I think you are right as its going to be a tough weekend.

Most of the bream are moving off to spawn but I have seen them spawning near Gladesville last year so possibly with all the little groups of bream together spawning spread out over the harbour someone will return some great bags.

Hi Hope so LeeLee, as when I pre-fished for the WSBB last week end I hooked on to a kegger near South head and he was very dark in colour a typical upper river bream, only weighing in 3 bream for 2.11kgs and losing 4 absolute horses on the Sunday one of them would have come really close to being a tournament record and where I caught them was telling me that they had either start running out or the drag end of the running bream is what we were nailing because of the gaps between fish hooked. Even the squire snapper were scarce which is another indication that the bream have or are running out. I'm hoping it isn't to hard but finding them will be the key to a good day.
