Hey BigE,
fished Mona Vale at high tide on Monday (overcast, windy, only stayed for an hour)for 1 sambo on a pillie tail.
I would have thought that the high tide at dusk tomorrow should see some tailor and sambos if there are some decent gutters.
Good luck.
Cheers,
Neil

Try Narrabeen, i think the lake has been opened so it should be good fishing. Avalon and Newport are a goer too.

yeah the lake has been opened, but there's bugger all flow according to my son who was down there surfing yesterday. I'm gonna go down to Narra or Avalon before dawn on Sunday with some livies (hopefully) and see what turns up. I'll have a look at the beach formations on Sat before I go and decide where.
Cheers,
Neil

bad luck bigE. What were you using, lure or bait? I've found that the lake shuts down real quick in winter coz it's now so shallow and can't hold any warmth. I read yesterday that Pittwater council are going to dredge the lake and make it a metre deeper all over so may hold the warmth a bit better in future - but it may destroy any weed beds, so who knows?
Unfortunately I've had to call off my dawn fish tomorrow as I did my neck in and can't move easily. The drugs are something else though! Hopefully be better for a fish during the week. Bummer.

Sorry to hear about your neck neilm.Yeah my mate went out on saturday morning fished just in the front of newport(got nothing) then headed towards long-reef (nothing).

Im trying to twist his arm to fish the harbour c if thats any good.
I fished with prawns by the way at the lakes, only stayed for around an hour max, after a while i could hardly feel the tips of my fingers.

So headed home.
