Very Quiet.

Guys , did not have the time to do the Hawkesbury classic due to family committments so decided to chuck a sickie and headed out there today.
Weather was fishable however one of the most quiet days ive had on the water.

Fished Flint and Steel with about 12 other boats and I think it was quiet all round.
Did not even manage a feed for home.
The missus is starting to get the poops with my addiction to fishing,could be worse I tell her......what do you want me to do? take up golf as well! or:scull::scull::scull::scull::scull: and :smoking33: got to get the:munky: off my back and land that Jew.... at the moment im just :banghead:

Interesting, few days before a full moon and you would think it should be going off? I think the Steel is overrated anyway.
At least you were out there.

Fishing out there in the big wide mouth of broken bay can be like finding a needle in a hay stack. I know the reef holds fish, but every man and his dog thrashes it to death. The smaller waters of the hawkesbury are MUCH more managable, predictable and senicly beautiful places to fish. You are able to use tides and weather conditions much more to your advantage if you fish places like cowan, berowra, moonie, spencer, wisemans or lower portland.

Though it probably wont fish too well after the rape pillage and plunder from the classic on the weekend.

me and my mates went out last thursday on a boat aswell....we fished flint and steel for a while and it was dead quite there...in fact everywhere for the whole day...there was ALOT of bait around near the washes but even with all that bait there was no fish to be caught except for 1 pike and 1 brim...just before we headed home we went abit further out and only caught some small tailer and 2 pretty big slimies...but other than that it was a pretty s!!! day

It was a bad day fishing.... but offshore it was ok...
