Hey guys,

Just had a quick question. Me and a mate have a small tinnie we like to take out around wedding cake island, Was thinking of getting a small portable sounder for it. Have seen a few advertised on ebay ect but the look a bit junky. Does anyone know of any descent ones out there that will do a pretty good job and won't cost an arm and a leg???

i bought one of those tiny yellow portable ones off ebay and it works great ,what i did do though is buy a mobile phone holder and i made a small frame from alloy and it hangs just inside the boat where i want it to and works great ,,,just gotta remember to bring in the transducer each time you move ,,you do get a mount for them if you want it like a normal transducer ,,,,whack in a couple of aa batteries and she goes for days ,,,i did modify mine for when i go away for a week or so camping ,i bought a voltage reducer from battery world and soldered 2 wires to the battery terminals and connected them to a tiny 12volt motorbike battery i had here and she works great ,,it runs for about a week on the tiny battery ,,,,jas
