Hey Guys... Back from cairns now, and ready to tackle some good sydney fish with my new rigs... (finally got a couple of shimano TLD's)

Anyways, thinking of the fads, or shelf this weekend for a troll... and then maybe some live baiting on the way back in...

So yeah troll for the morning, and if its quiet a reef bask on the way back..

anyone got news from the fads, or shelf (off broken bay) ??

The water looks good for saturday...

what do you guys think??

So far the swell forecast was saying 4m swell but now its died down so who knows whats going to happen..The fads haven got much at the moment but ill be sussung them out this weekend if the weather is ok..I have a couple secret ones i found out there last year which are just under the surface on the 18mile mark and they are like a palm tree under water...Huge bits of man made stucture,a mate was out there last week and tthey are still there...:pottytrain1:

Hey Garth, Yeah the weather keeps changing... at current though it looks okay between a 1 and 2 m swell.. and 10 knots increasing to 15 knots through the day...
And yeah your right, Hamuwaja (the boat not me) is a 38 flybridge.. so she should be okay..

once it hits 20 knots and the waves are over 3m then i try to steer clear...

Beaks hey?? Around the fads, or further onto the shelf??

Have come across a couple of similar ones closer in and couldn't work out if they were anchor lines theat that been chopped or were anchored boits of rope with sone bouys under the water.

If they aren't serviced I assume they they gradually accumulate so much weight in barnacled they will sink?
