For anyone interested or thinking about going up to lake StClair, the dam levels are lower than I have ever seen them launching & retrieving without a 4x4 is definately off the cards.

Here's the boat ramp (not used) Pics by Daverenee

There is a rumor going round that they are talking of closing access to st clair and glenbawn due to the low water?
Prob blame it on insurance or risk to skiers.

if they go ahead lostock dam will get hit hard with a number of tournaments relocated from each,on top of one's already there.making a tough fishery even tougher.not good!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think that will happen, they shut the gates I hear if there are too many boats there so I think 60 + boats may not be allowd on it.

mate the electric convention is at lostock and i believe there are over 60 qualifiers.26 rounds with the top 5 qualifing.thats a possible 130.i know thats not how many will be there but i'm sure there will be more than 60.

that is & has been well & truly organised for sure because its a special event, a quick change of venue for another comp just wouldn't get the same greeting. & being a mid week thing might also help.

thats good news buddy as it would be a shame to see the place flogged as lake stclair and glenbawn were a few years ago.i dont think st clair has ever really recovered with the water levels not helping either.before the abt grand final alot of interstate anglers had never even heard of lake stclair.i believe lostock is about to recieve the same attention for better or worse.
