You can try some of the macglachlans or producers if you want cheep divers to troll but a word of warning change all your hooks & split rings or you might loose that special fish you try so hard to find:maad: then you will be sorry you didn't buy a quality product in the first place:frown: . might cost you $10 + hooks + split rings your nearly up to the price of a decent lure already.:wiink:
Try the boat show there may be some on special. cant think of anywhere else that sells good gear cheap just have to keep your eyes peeled.

The producers are the best of the cheapie lures, they will do for most of our pelagic fish most of the time. However, when things are a bit tough, or any other time the good old rapala CD7 CD9 OR CD11 reigns supreme. They are a little more, $17 to $25 each, but they work. My prefered colours are, in order, red/white, blue mackeral and then green mackeral. They are so reliable I rarely use any any other lures in the diving varieties.
To cover a bit more ground, small skirted lures such as the small McGoo lures work a treat around headlands. They can be trolled at speeds of up to 12 or 13knts, but are most effective around 6 to 10 knts. Juice them up with a bit of tuna oil if the bite gets a bit slow. McGoo's cost a bit though and they can be substituted with an octopus plastic with a bean sinker in the head, the kings dont seem to care that it only cost a dollar!!
Sluggo's can be great on the kings and small tuna, and can be used with both divers and skirts.
Hope this helps
also check out the bobo spitfires and if you can find them, the yozuri crystal vibe lure - they are the best lure I have trolled around sydney heads, impossible to find though.
