I'm from there too (Northern Beaches)...like fishing the top northern corner of Dee Why ...think that's long reef beach there...I don't mind fishing off the wall at the southern end...comfy spot and well lit...beats getting sand everywhere and the kid likes it too...
Forty baskets is our favourite wharf/structure...shame can't fish off Manly wharf...would save me climbing those goddamn stairs at Forty baskets...but in summer keeps the kids busy with the abundance of yellowtail always there...
Hey,
I am from Penrith (Orchard Hills) & am a boat fisho.
I am spending alot of time in Broken Bay atm, so learning that area. I also like to Gerringong(down south). Have only fished botany bay once so will be going back there & of course make the odd journey out to the lovely harbour.

40 baskets stairs are better than carrington ave thats for sure, but do love fishing north harbour (even under the wharf after midnight) out to quarrantine and dobroyd, and middle harbour when things up river are good. Both land and sea based.
Also love sight fishing the surface salmon when they're really picky.
But when the kings come calling, ........nothing else matters.:yahoo:

Hi,
Brighton Le Sands here, and i fish (Mostly landbased) anywhere close and suitable for SP's.
So, mainly Botany Bay, anywhere from Molineux Point to Tom Ugly's Bridge, and around to Kurnell.
Ed
Boat fisho, live in Lidcombe and will wet a line anywhere.
My most prefered place is Bermagui followed by North of Wollongong, Belambie to Austinmere. Also a bit partial to Botany Bay and the Hawkesbury. Working on a Bass/Bream boat at the moment and when she is all decked out will be spending most of my leasure time on smooth waters.
