Well what can I say? HHMMMM I think I can come up with something?
I will leave the fishing part to those who caught fish and concentrate on the event as a whole. Firstly to all who attended thank you very much from John for making the Saturday (that turned into a weekend) so successful. I am sure that your support will be every bit as important to John’s recovery as the money raised to pay for the operation. To all the companies and individuals who donated money, time and prizes thank you so much. I have to mention G. Loomis, Daiwa, Kokoda, Strudwick and Ian Miller whose generosity was greatly appreciated. Also those who donated personalized items thank you for parting with those treasures for such a cause and particularly Dick Lewers, Jack Erskine and Lenny Pascoe. Also to the Australian Bass Angler thank you once again for being the whipping boy and asking for all that support from the industry. To all the other shops, company reps and individuals thank you again and it is much appreciated and John thanks you all. Also a big thanks to the big bidders on the night you know who you are and it is much appreciated.
Well we managed to raise approx $15,000 over all and that will pay for the operation. We have given John the best chance he can have and as I said before the personal support is a big part of that.
The night went smoothly and I think we all had a bit of fun. As I am sure you could all tell from John’s heartfelt thank you at the end of the raffle he was very touched by all your well wishes and support.
So we have done what we can and the rest is now in John’s surgeons’ hands and the big feller. Lets just hope GOD is a fisherman and isn’t keen on competition and so would rather John stays with us all a little longer.
