G'day ,
First report, also first time out for a fish for months. I sent my mate out on a friday arvo worming expedition, he managed to pull a dozen or so in pretty tough conditions at North Narrabeen.
Nearly bailed for the 6am start after the big friday night storm, but the forecast looked ok so we headed out.
We fished out of his yaks ( first time for me), kept moving looking for fish, evntually found a good run of keeper size 27-33, plus a heap of 24-27s. Kept 5 good ones for myself ( mmmmmm).
The tips were, the fish really bit well when the tide ran fast during the 1.9metre run in. So it payed to really be ready for the tide as it pushed up each time, and then again as it ran back the other way.
A very pleasant way to fish out of the yak and very easy to position yourself whent he conditions change.
All in all a top morning and with that decent rain we are in for a top season if whiting are your thing. Look out for North Narra when the lake opens because the whiting fishing will be fantastic.
