Last week missed a terrific time out at peak and 12 mile. Apparently it started slow then the fish went off and it was multiple hook ups on jigs. So yesterday went out and had a bash and on every drift hooked up on kings kings and more kings. Only problem was that the weather man got it wrong and it was pretty slushy out there but still okay. It only got a bit better around noon and then the wind started again. Got at least 1 fish on every drift except that every fish was under sized ! Finally managed to have 3 keepers around the 70+cm . And the bonitos were there too and kept hitting the jigs but not really hooking up so tried what i term as deep sea spinning and that's when the fun starts.
Heard reports that the blue fin is in Wollongong but out wide and coming towards Sydney so if there is anyone out there including charter boat operators wanting to find people to get out for them I am in. Thanks

Hi Guys
You are not looking at the right weather sites before venturing offshore.
The water is quite different 10 miles offshore to that in closer. For this reason you should click on the outer marks for buoy weather and remember to check distances apart on their forcasts.
The best check to do before you go though is the one on Sydney Ports website. Follow the links to real time sea conditions.
It shows swell, seas and distance apart of main seas and distances apart of all waves. It doesnt have winds on this site but it is obvious that the closer all the waves are together, the windier it is.
This site is the one that Coastal Gaurd tap into to give us offshore conditions.
Remember that 6 seconds is the perfect distance apart for wave action to make people sick, great way to get payback on mates.:bablefish::bablefish:
Good work at securing a feed.
Best wishes

Hi Kingy
Next month will be fine. Good luck in WA.
I will find anglers that you will get on with as well.
Nath
Mate, out of action due to the GPS crapping itself.
Navico are going to try and retrieve the waypoints and reload it into another unit.
Lost 4 days work out of it so far.
Tried to book them on another charter with Damo from the Central Coast but they were not impressed or interested.
What could I do?
Anyway, hopefully all will be good with the world again early this week.
Best wishes
Peter
I'll be in on that from the 12th Sept onwards - I'm in europe for 3 weeks from 16th august.
Weekends are best (I haven't got any leave left!), but if impossible may be able to take a day without pay (but it will be painful). Got a top new combo that Nath sold me that is itching for some action!

Thanks Peter for the info. Had a look on that site and will definitely check this out prior to going out.
