Anyone know how to fish with one arm?? I've torn some nasty sh!t in my shoulder and I am outta action for Quite a while. I dearly wanted to fish this saturday on the rocks. Tides are perrrrfect for a pre dawn bait collection then a sick drummer session to follow on the rising tide.:nopity:

yeh man easy tie a rope around ur need and the rod, when u get a bite thrust ur need back like ur going to get wip lash and you will hook them up also wear a belt that will help. As for casting not sure lol.

Mate i think you better stay home and give it a rest. do more harm than good in 3 weeks the tides are even better than this week 30cm higher

how bad is it, i broke my colar bone once and couldn't lift my left arm,
i changed my reels over to left handed, put all the weight on my right arm and had a modified reeling action with the left.

p.s. where u thinking of fishing?

I wont be fishing but was thinking of fishing somewhere around clovelly, maroubra, type area. I live at newtown these days so I really want to explore the washes close to my place!

hey mate, bit of a walk, but what about down off little beach head... or little bay head.. the one that you park next to the golfcourse and walk down the track... (near the jail)

then you could just drop in from the ledge and pull straight up...

maybe you could modify a gimbal...

that's bad luck mate.
personally i wouldn't be going fishing off the rocks one-armed if i couldn't swim one-armed.
hope it recovers quickly.

Just to add a positive note
Those crabs with only One claw seem to be a lot more successful with the girl crabs on the beach
Geez sorry about that .I'm pretty sure you don't want "Crabs"
But I meant to say that you could use you good arm for other sports for a while.....
