obviously not many people going, this is most probably because everyone is scared of my bright orange runabout.


Anyway, it's next weekend, the 18th.

Weigh in is at 990 River rd, Lower Portland (where HNBAA has it's Interclubs)

Well I can tell by the masses of responses that you are all eagerly awaiting my report.


Fishing my first probass I came in 6th. Local knowledge helped me a bit, but not nearly as much as I thought it would. Every time I went to 'one of my spots' someone was either there, approaching (on electric down the bank) or just leaving.

Resorted to trolling in the heat of the stinking hot sun, pulled up a couple of EP's mid 30's that helped me out when I struggled from a good morning.
Made me realise my bright sunshine fishing is weak, I'm too used to be on water at dawn and heading for home at 11.30am.
Colo was absolutely belted, I've never seen so many boats up there.

Largest fish was 1180gm, approx 42cm by my reckoning. No idea on what it took or where.
Betts spins, silent hardbodys and jackall did most of the damage for me.


52 entries, about 30boats. Several people got total donuts which threw me a bit, as I must have caught 40 fish on the weekend the little ones were everywhere.
