HI bassaholics...

My name is Cisco I am new to Syd and these boards... I'm from San Diego California, home to the World record Largemouth bass* I currently live in Newtown, and will be going back to Cali on tuesday for the holiday season. While at home I'm going to pick up all my bass gear and bring it back. I am an experienced LMB fisherman and can't wait to start Oz Bass'n... Can anyone give me info on where to start and what bass club(s) are the best to join. i.e. most organized, structured, fun, eventful ect... I can't wait to get on the water... See you guys soon!

here's a link to my fishing forum back home if anyone wants to check it out, who knows maybe it'll even inspire a fishing vacation...!

Nice to meet you Cisco, prob the closest main bass fishery for you would be the upper Hawkesbury River.
Try these 2 clubs, http://www.wsbb.com.au/ or http://www.hnbaa.com.au/

Good luck.

Greetings
You may wish to investigate fishing in Sydney Harbour for bream with lures as from what I have seen on TV there are a few similarities with bass fishing. There are occasional bream lure fishing contests (not in Sydney) similar to the bass tournaments in the States.
I have no personal experience with the bream lure fishing scene but others may be able to help you
Cheers

there are Bream lure comps in sydney about 5-6 a year in the harbour + social days.
