just raising the point of grand final qualifiers.i was lead to believe that it was top fifty, not sixty odd.the round qualifiers plus the next fifty have qualified which i think is wrong.why not just have a free for all?i beleive the round qualifiers should be first in then the fifty is to be made up of the next best qualifiers.there are people who have finished in 60th+ position and still qualified due to higher positioned qualifiers already qualifing through top three finishes.is this really fair?maybe we need to knock it back to only the top two places in each qualifying rounds get a GF ticket.other wise this means joe blow who has fished every round and ended up finishing in the top ten gets a ticket along with joe blow who only bothered going to a couple of rounds and scraps into 65th position.Where is the justice in that?Isnt a grand final the best playing off for the title.

yea i kinda a gree greg in previuos years it allwasy been top 50 with 25 boater & 25 non boaters this yea hes added all the qualifers then a top 50 im not sure to the reason maybe to make it a bigger field & more money i do think tha to qualifey u need to be fairly consitant in attendences as this makes it a much better series so there is merit on what u say about top 2 or make it just the winner im sure a lot of people have diff ideas & chris is allways open to people views about the comps thats the beauty of these series where others u have no input at all .im of the opion that a g/f is just that a g/f with the best anglers of there year battling it out it the numbers that needs to be sorted i guess .would be good to hear other guys opions on the series.im pretty easy cause what ever the deal i get to go fishing :):headbang:

i understand your point but in the same light you can only fish one comp and come a place in the top three (by luck or skill) and qualify for the GF and as stated only fish 1 comp the whole year. at the end of the day the more fishing the better the prize money and the more money/prizes the sponsor throw our way. good luck to all in the GF

more the merrier I say......of course I would say that though 'cause I'm currently just out of a qualifying position and am hoping for a few dropouts to get an invite :1yikes:

I think it's a bit hypocritical though in one breath to say you want to reward those that have attended regularly to keep the fields big but then, when it comes to the GF, want the field limited......I'm pretty sure with the additional GF entrants adding to the prize pool you won't mind pocketing the extra reward if you place. If you're good enough it shouldn't matter whether there's a field of 10 or a fied of 100 :tease:

:notworthy: matters when everyone of your spots you go to has a boat already there! but then again if your big enough........... doesnt worry me,the more money the better.

not all about money i think G/F is just that the best fighting it out for the yearly title i .why call it a g/f if u have the same fields u have during the year it could just be the last comp of the year thers many options open i guess id like to see the top 25 say fight it out but that wouldnt suit as the money would be to small & people would complain :argue: u could have a full feild then cut the feild after day 1 to top 10 or 15 make it interesting:hellyeah:

? would u like to travel up to 4hrs each way to fish for 1 day then not make the cut & head home again, because it wouldn't be very ethical in my eyes to fish day 2 when the top 10 are fishing to win!

cant please every one, agree to disagree.

have to agree with you there mark.some kind of cut made on sat arvo and maybe top ten on sun would be very interesting.if you didnt make it "BAD LUCK"just as if you didnt make the top FIFTY."bad luck".as for the four hours driving, well a twenty dollar lotto ticket each week for a one in a million chance isnt worth it but the time you do win its a small price to pay!not every one can win all the time.
