how many fishing rods am i allowed to fish with at the one time?

Yes there is. You can only use (that means actually use, not take along with you) four rods at any one time. IMO any more and you're just greedy and wasting space - especially if landbased. Four is plenty.

No more than 3 hooks or 3 gangs of hooks attached per line (a gang of hooks should have no more than 5 hooks).
One line may have 6 single hooks with lure attached to be used by the method of hand jigging only.
No more than 3 treble hooks attached to a lure.

i was only fishing with one, and i saw this guy fishing with 3 and i wondered if i can do that too =D

well, I must be honest here - I generally take 5-6 rods with me - only use one to two at a time though - only for the reason that some guys who come past have a curios kid or two who wanna see what holding a rod is like - or they're curious themselves - so I let them for 10 or so minutes, try and bring more people to the greatest religion of all - fishing...

oh, and also cos the rod my mate uses gets birdsnests in it, so it just makes a quick replacement for him.... bloody shite baitcasters...

so what is the go with a bait jig ,are they aloud as it states 6 hooks with a lure attached.
id say it would be ok ey?
