Fly fishing near Ballerat

Hi All,

Went to same place as in March, Milbrook Lakes for 4 days of solid fishing.:gohard:

Not as many caught, probably due to weather, but fun nontheless.:**** happens:
My fly casting is much better now.

These fish are WILD trout, but the lakes hold an abundance of food, so they grow pretty big, but also makes them pretty fussy eaters!
These lakes are all spring fed (Same source as Neverfail Springwater).
The springs are still feeding but slowly. They are losing alot through evaporation.
Water level on most lakes is currently at "late January" levels, which is making all worry about summer.
Some lakes cannot be fished any longer as the owners (farmers) need the water for irrigation.
