looks like the wank@'s are at it again. Just picked up my local rag today and on the cover is a proposed fishing ban for spots around the mosman foreshore. They made particular mention for the areas around clifton gardens and chowder bay. It is the result of one councilor Denise Wilton who has initiated this, luckily councilor Dom Lopez says he will oppose it saying it is taking the right away from our kids to fish.

Have these people really got nothing better to do with their time than harrass fishermen and woman for a pastime that provides so much joy.

that area clifton gardens is a proposal under the torn blue fringe also.it has something to do with the npa,the paper isnt telling the whole story and the truth in my opinion.the divers have been after the area for years anyway just for their own playtime.its about divers not protection

Couln't agree more Midget, the 'Confidence Trick'. Started some years ago when the bubble brains got control of the old Naval Depot and Wharf on the grounds of "National Security", how a fisherman with rods & tackle is a treat compared to a scuba diver is considered more of a threat is absolute B/S.
Just think who would be a greater threat! It is not rocket science!
Some yrs. Ago well dressed I visited Clifton and was mistaken for a 'Resident' buy this bigoted idiot. I agreed with him about how 'Outsiders' were the problem, & he fell for it.
He said that he believed that the whole area should be locked
& only Clifton Gardens resident have access keys . As a dog owner he was also against picking up doggy doo doo !
After letting him rave on for 20mins I gave him the most memorable tongue lashing.I pointed to the freedom we have in this country to use Public Property
how being rich did not give you priviledge& that we are ALL equal
under the law.
Then I volulteered to help his have a dip in his "private pool"
He bolted like the chicken that he was. I was 20 yrs older than him too!

unfortunately thats some of the snobbery you get around here mate. We all know there are bad apples in every bunch and those who litter and leave filth around are nothing but scum and ruin the opinion of the general public about us considerade fishos but do you try and punish the group or the few.
