Long Reef Questions

Hey guys.

Heading to Long Reef on the hoildays and wondering where we should launch the boat ?

How far is it from Rose Bay ?

Is it possible to launch at the ramp at Long Reef ? Boat is a 5.25 meter and towed by 2 wheel drive.

The ramp at long reef is (if I'm thinking of the right ramp) exposed to the ocean and hence any swell.

It's far safer to launch from Tunks Park, which has just been redone, and make the run out, it's only 30mins or so.

M8 Longy ramp is rubbish, launch at Little Manly, shorter run out

yeah dont launch at the longy ramp.. think its more for rubber duckies, and surf boats rowers etc..

try little manly as sclark suggested..

never heard of tunks park (so it must be the other side of the harbour than i am used to)

Hey mate, its good, if you have a few different marks, as you can find its like a carpark at the closer to shore marks alot of the time... (i find a bit wider is usually good)
