View Full Version : Quick report from Brasil
Hi all at SFF, currently in Brasil on holidays and thought I would share a few pics from my little session I had at my father in laws farm. these fish are called Caranha and can grow bigger than 25 killos but these two where just over a kilo each. they were put in the dam with a few other fish a little over a year ago so hopefully we can pull some big ones out in a few years to come. the photos arent the best as they were taken with a phone but hopefully you get the idea, these things have little molars for teeth and not something you wanna get your fingers in. Went out for fours hours yesterday for not even a bite but hopefully i will have some pics for you on tuesday as we are going to try and get some Pirarara and Piraiba. Check them out on youtube if you wanna see some big river fish,

Nice work Midget, some good black bass and peacock bass fishing in Sampalo in the north..
Most of the beachs are tops for a perve :hot tail: and at night time be good for :hump:
They do go hard for a juveniles Stef but the big ones pull even harder and according to the wife taste nice too. I dont eat fish just get a kick out of catching them. Im heading out today to try for some big ones and consequently have had about 3 hours sleep in anticipation.
Was in Rio last week too Nath for a holiday and yes the beaches are FULL of eye candy. Have only heard about those black bass you mentioned and hopefully one day will get a chance to hook into one.
with a bit of luck will have some more pics for you guys tonight.

Another update from Brasil.. Sad to say that we couldnt hook into any river monsters like we were planning and had to head to a local sports fishing lake just near us due to other commitments. Here are some larger versions of the fish I posted earlier. Needless to say my wifes cousin warned me not get close to the mouth for a few pics so I took his advice. The first fish came in at 13kgs and was about 60 to 65cms, the other ones were just under 10kgs. All in all a good day but a bit slow and fish were hard to get.
