Hi Guys
The water is starting to come alive once more in Pittwater. There are salmon, tailor and kingfish starting to make appearances.
Each year in September we catch big kingfish in Pittwater and some of the fish that I have seen towards the mouth of Pittwater are amazing.
These big fish are normally feeding on "living eyes" and on their day can be extremely difficult to tempt. For this reason it is better to have both live squid as well as yakkas to cover the bases.
This is the time of the year that fly fishermen wait for but swithched on anglers can get the same great results using the small clear soft plastics. The hardest part is to get close enough to the feeding school to give yourself any chance at casting a small soft plastic into the feeding zone.
For those of you that have been waiting to do a Pittwater charter after kingfish, you should call now to avoid disappointment. I can be called on
0410 633 351.
There are still some larger squid around Barrenjoey and with these squid some big kings wont be too far away.
I hope this info sees you giving us a call to book a charter soon.
Best wishes
