I need a 10-15kg rod that is lightweight, short-handled that I can pair with a certate HD 3500. I am aiming to use for mainly spin, but for some small surface lure work.
I have tried a Daiwa monstermesh PE1-3 and whilst it feels pretty good, the handle is too long for spin (although is fine for long distance casting for popping).
I have tried a Daiwa catalina PE3 which is too stiff for what I need.

Other constraints: either 6' or maybe sectioned (preferably at handle) to allow for easy air transport. No longer than 7'6" if sectioned. Budget is not a concern.

I have looked through the Loomis range, but there is nothing that is a direct hit - does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers,
neil

You Should try Daiwa saltwater.... that rod have landed me at least 30 king at pier 2 and the rod is 7ft 1 piece line rated 10-20lb.

ended up with an innovator viper 7' which is rated 6-8kg but I'm informed that it's more than capable of running 30lb braid. The beauty is that should I happen to break it then I can get the broken section replaced for a nominal amount.
Thanks again guys, some excellent suggestions here.
