Hey SFF Fishos, last week i got back from my yearly GT popping trip in the south pacific..9 Days of it and some great fish caught...I took my cousin Steve, for his first GT trip,he loved it,got some great fish..

Lot of by catch of coral trout,Baracudda, spanish mackeral, red bass,Cod,Emperor, blue trevally,GTs of course, small tuna and many more to name, all caught on poppers, stick baits or soft platsics..

Out of the 9 days of fishing we caught many GTs,from 12kg to 40kg,seen alot of big fish that just destroyed our poppers and stick baits that would of been in the hi 40 plus KG mark, some even 50kg plus..No matter what you always see some huge fish there...

We had great conditions, some days extremely hot with no breeze, some days overcast and really humid, some days rain but it never stopped our fishing, only strong wind would do that..

Got a 18kg Coral Trout on 20lb Braid...:headbang:

Outfits we generally use on these trips are PE 8 PE 10 and PE 12 for these brutes.

Great pics and obvious of the fun you have had.
When's the right time to go i.e. months cos the last time my planned trip to Fiji was shredded by the storms. I know this is Vanuatu but given the way my work schedule - i dont have the kind of window opportunity.

New Cal if fishable all year round,october-november-december are the months to go for the bigger fish but there is a definet chance of seeing a couple on a trip any time of the year, charters are the most expensive...
