Hi all,

Went down to Wagga Wagga at Christmas to visit my Bro. Met one of his friends, Steve, at a BBQ who turned out to be a keen fisho.
As we talked fishing, he offered to take me out on the river in his 16ft tinny. After some smooth taking to his Mrs, we were in his shed testing the motor and getting things ready.
I had my soft plastic outfit in the boot, which was probably a little light on......but with line change up i was prepared to put it to the test.
Off to the shop we went, got some 16lb braid and 14lb fluoro. Apparently the Yellowbelly and Murray Cod have been on lately, so we got a few lures to suit.
We put the boat in near Borambola at 7am and spent the next 8 hours fishing and cruising downstream towards Wagga.
It was my first time spining on a freshwater river. The day and Scenery were beautiful, but it was a tough day of fishing with only one fish caught (By ME!!:hellyeah: ), a lovely (and fully protected) Trout Cod, caught on a black-red spinnerbait.
Steve reckoned the heavy activity on the river, due to holiday period, made the fishing tougher, but it might just be his excuse for not catching any!
A great day anyway.
There is a picture, but unfortunately even after downsizing for email, it is 169kb. It was taken with a fancy Digital Camera; I don't think i can shrink it further.
