hi guys. soon i'll be living up in sydeny and i just wanted to know does any one have any spare gear for me that they really have no use any more?
we'll on any forums askin for gear can go bad but up here you can pick up some pretty cheap combos from kmart or some tackle shops, if you get pocket money or have a job just put a few bucks away each week to go towards gear this is wat i do and i can normalley go to me local once a month(probabley more lately) and buy some stuff, if you know wat your looking for you and no your budget you can get some great deals!

That's what I like, someone joins up on a fishing site, and with the first post, asks for hand me downs. No beating around the bush, get straight to the point.
2 thinks could happen, 1, members of the site will say geeze hows this blokes hide, and ignore your plea, hoping to get to know you a bit before offering you anything, but advice.
2 you may find someone like myself, who does happen to have some unwanted gear laying around the place, and am willing to hand it over.
But first it would be good to at least know a little about you, your name for one thing would be a start.
I imagine you would be a youngish guy ?. Sydney is a big place, for you to gain any of my unwanted items, you would have to be prepared to come to Lidcombe, I don't deliver freebies.
What sort of gear do you have in mind, make a list of desired gear and I will see if I can be of any help to you.
If you happen to be under 18years old I would rather you be accompanied by an adult when you come to collect the gear.

This is the same little bloke that did this on sportsfish. Mate you got some nerve after everyone telling you there, you come and do it here. Some kids don't learn.

My post above was an invatation for him to contact me, as I don't mind helping a new comer out with some unused gear I have laying around,
Not top of the line stuff but good usable tackle.
Call me a sucker if you wish, but it's my nature to give everyone the benifit of the doubt, if they are prepaired to put a little effort in to at least contact me. It appears he has not logged on since he made the post.
Maybe he has asked on this site because nobody was prepaired to give him any support on the other sites he tried.

Kid give it a break, you have come on every site and asked the same question, if you want fishing stuff that bad, go out and earn some money and buy it, or ask your parents or guardians or whatever.
Like i said elsewhere i would like a 6ft brunette with green eyes and a milion dollars, if anyone has that lying around, please contact me, i would prefer the first so i can lay around too!

Yeah that is a fair call frank, he may be who he says he is. I was actually prompted to write my post because i thought if he was who he says he was he may have replied to your original generous offer. As it seemed he failed to do give his name or any other details i started to suspect he was possibly more of a punk than a "jnr fishy"......
All i can say is if i was a kid in search of gear i would be pretty happy to get a response from someone with an offer like yours, therefore i was suprised he didnt at least reply that he would like to take you up on it.
......then when it was revealed he had written a similar thing on heaps of other sites.......
anyway certainly wasnt implying any level of suckerdom on yourself!
And Kamil - i would also like to meet a beautiful (inside and out) 6' brunette with brown skin and long hair with millions of dollars and a 40' Riviera, who loves fishing, the outdoors and living life to the full. Trouble is, when ever i take my missus fishin she usually catches the biggest fish.......
Last time i took mine fishin (when i had one) she caught a 42cm whiting
