Nothing doin in the Hawkesbury

Headed out for a full day from Brooklyn at the finish of the rising tide, nice overcast conditions. Fished a promising looking hole near Bar Point for a few hours, nothing but the odd bite. Also tried some oyster leases near Spectacle Island, no good. We where using froz prawns and squid - the squid was arousing more interest. A relaxing day out nonetheless.:1fishing1:

There is always something doin in the Hawkesbury. The fact is that it is just such a huge system the it dosent all fire at the same time! Just two days ago a mate of mine who has fished for about 30 yrs, caught his biggest ever bream, somewhere between Wisemans and spencer. I fished berowra for bream on lures the other day and yes, it was disapointing but have had off the hook reports from around wisemans ferry in deep water with bait only! Dont give up hope!!:nopity:
