Hey, me me dad and our mate went fishing today 6/1/07 in the upper hawkesbury berowra-lion island we went out and anchored at flint and steel the current was fast, we were there for around 20 mins before relising our anchor was to small so we repositioned and put our larger anchor out, we got a scare when a fibreglass boat was drifting towards us and before we had a chance to move they hit our bow with a nice hole left in there hull (advantage of alluminium) we then went over to patonga beach were our mate caught a 38cm dusky flathead which he insited on keeping after it had quiented down there we went back to the mouth of a inlet forget wat its called and i got a flounder i threw it back without hesitating, the rest of the day was biteless with the occasional throw back, the upper hawkesbury was slow today so i cant wait till i go back down to some of me favourite spots in the lower areas. Ill post pics of fish when i load them off me dads phone

Onya Tom,

The Hawkesbury is being raped by trawlers at the moment and any catch is a bonus. I was camped at Patonga for the last week and watched them work Patonga bay and the river. I thought they were only allowed to work outside the heads?
