Took the polycraft out for a run to chase some kings around the usual kingy haunts west of the spit. Didn`t take long either 5.30am, whilst trolling around some moored boats noticed a small patch of nervous water beside a mooring bouy. Did a pass and had instant interest but no hookup. Tailor i thought? It was still not 100% light, which made dogging the rowers a bit of hand full whilst trolling 2 lines solo, so pulled up and cast a 6in stickbait at the bouy. Skipped it along the surface past it, had a pck of kings chase it down untill one hooked up, AWESOME. nice start to the morning. Lnaded a few more but couldn`t get the bigg fish to play.Had a ball untill they just vanised.

Moved off and caught some small size squid and did the rounds dropping it around various harbour markers. Starting at North head moving south east in an arch spent 5 minutes at each marker before moving on..around to the western wedding cake then the "A" frame, the eastern and so on. Caught some nice little kings and had a ball. All fish released

What more could a man ask for on his day off? :D

I have caught some absolute horse bream at the A frame, and I have been monstored a couple of times. Just drop a bait or an SP right between the pylons...and hold on!

good going Dan. pity the big kingies didn't come out to play but the rats are alot of fun. What do you mean by the A frame if you don't mind telling.

its a big log that looks like an "a" frame. It features in one of Craig Mcgills dvds. Its not hard to find, and hold alot of fish

Well done Dan it can be tough with those rowers (I have had my share of run ins) and going solo trolling is always a challange.
