Hey guys been living in Darwin for a few months now. What a town. Honestly, the most laid back place in Aus. If you hunt or fish you are amongst friends up here. Today I landed my first milky (milk fish) these fish are absolute bullets. They have a tail to body ratio that has to be seen to be believed. Such an epic battle. My girlfriend was hooked up at the same time but got busted off only using ten pound, I landed mine on 30lb with a 50lb leader.

Yeah mate the fishing is real in the top end!!!!!!
I love Darwin, the fishing is awesome. Did you use bread for bait for the milkfish?
I found down by the armchair cinema on a high tide was pretty good - I got a small spanish mack on a butterflied mullet, but the guys who were using livies netted from the Stokes Hill wharf over night cleaned up on queenfish and trevs.
How big are those tides eh?
Awesome pic mate.
Darwin is definitely on the "to do" list before I die

Yeah bread for the milky's. We mainly use big poppers for everything else Macks, queenies and GT's etc I've been fishing all over the joint. I only live two streets over from the Habour (down near the navy barracks) so access to good fishing is easy.
I am soooo jealous Bass.
Onyah mate, keep posting we all love to drool!
Cheers

Nice one :smiile: as Haji says keep the reports and pictures coming. Never been to Darwin yet and do not plan to on my next trip over in a few weeks time. It is on my "to do" list so may do it next time round.
