Hi
Has anyone had any experience with the Webster 5.2 Cuddy? My current boat is a 1983 Seafarer Viking which is a pretty good sea boat but would like to upgrade in the near future. I fish both estuary and offshore and the one boat has to be suitable for both.

I have a mate who has one and he loves it, he can get 40km offshore on a reasonable day and it has heaps of good deck space. He has had it for 2years now and has zero complaints

Hey Haji.....just came across this post....used to sell the twinfisher, if you're interested in a serious little fishing boat get one. Sold a few and unlike many other brands never had a return or complaint only very satisfied customers with the webster. They ride great, extremely stable at speed or rest, as Sydfish said can go quite far outside which to some may be suprising for a relatively small boat, very solid build, excellent lay-out and you can order exactly what you want with everything where you want it from the manufacturer or do-it yourself with the fitout. I think also a good testament to them is the waiting period back then for one was over 12 weeks, they must be doing something right.
The few I sold were the 5.2 runabout and cuddy, some opted for the 80/100hp yamaha 4 stroke, others went for the 90/115/130hp 2 stroke yammi..., the 100 4 stroke was ideal, plenty fast enough, very economical and extremely quiet which was great on the alloy boat (from memory cruised at around 25 knots, top speed around 34+). Think the new Johnson E-tec would be hard to go past these days though!
Well worth buying new as everyone likes to set their boat up differently but as most will have been sold to serious fishos, set-up would suit your needs if a used boat is what you're looking for.

Would be happy to look-up a few old contacts for you when you're ready to replace your current boat.
