Hi Guys
Does anyone know much about these newly released motors?
I'm thinking of getting the TM34 for my dinghy:
http://www.jarviswalker.com.au/jwMotor.htm
motackle have them for $269:
http://www.motackle.com.au/index.cfm?pr=catalogue
I read a few online reviews and they appear to be a good buy for the money...half the price of a Minn Kota!
Can you get them in Sydney?
Thanks
Sean

dont stuff around with transom mounts! I was going to get one till i went fishing with my mate who had one. What a pain in the :pottytrain1: !! Im putting away a few extra coins for a bow mount. My mate also got rid of his tm, put it on his canoe and said thats all they're good for. This is purely an opinion of a couple of pig headed fisherman so dont take it as gospel !

Actually I'm beginning to rethink the whole thing now! Getting a bit fed up patching the boat. The floor is leaking now around the drain hole seam. Don't think it's worth putting a motor on, especially if it means buying a motor mount bracket for 100 bucks, before getting a motor.
Does anyone know what the process is for storing a dinghy near Forty Baskets, or somewhere near Seaforth. There's stacks of them chained to trees. Do you need permission, and is there a fee? I emailed Manly council but thery never responded. Maybe their silence means it's OK?

Stef, just back from checking out the dinghy rack at Little Manly...phoned the council...not quite "cheap as"...$195 for the yr (actually it's Sep to Sep), so pay $195 now and the same again in Sep.
Anyway, looks like I may have access to a garage, so I now need to find something light, and invest in a roof rack.

p.s. the coucil says there's a project currently happening to clean up all dinghys chained to trees around the area. All owners apparently will be forced to store them in an official rack or have them confiscated.
