good evening all..went for a morning fish took all my gear overheads and spinning gear..started spinning at 6am and first cast got me by supprise it was a big slimey,ran to the overhead which was a penn senator and ballooned up ready to go,hooked slimey in the back and sent him out on a mission,i kept spinning while the big bait was out and then the dragg ticked off slowly then stopped,picked up the rod the fish took a bit more and i placed my thumb down on the line and she felt the tension and she screamed off,let her run for 20 meters or so laid back into the rod and striked it twice and set the hook,i fought for about 20 mins and felt him run across the reef twice fought a bit different and new it wasnt a king i eventually got him to the edge and he surfaced my legs went jelly like because it was a cobia bout 10-12kg,i was cheering with laughter,then he took a about a 2m head dive and bang the 100lbs trace snapped i was in tears big time..It must of snapped due to line abbrasion on the reef he ran me across,what a bugger....I rigged up again with shakey hands,i was so pissed off...i spun up a bonito and sent it out and it was taken by a hammer head i hooked him and got him to the edge he was 2m in length and he cut threw the line at the edge...sorry guys no picks this time,mrs needed it what a bummer...Hott Hott
