Hey there flat rock! I need some direction mate! I'm mainly a freshwater or estury man as I live in windsor but will be camping on the coast this w'end. I'll have the chance to do some pretty finr rock spinning. I have some metal slices. A knight 10grm,maniac 9grm and a little one that looks like a white bait i think its eco gear! Are these suitalble for the bonnies? And whould you be so kind as to tell me what lures was the gun for you? Should I be looking for schools and birds ect?:smiile:

Hi there you need to spin with 35g to 60g i my self always use 60g..if there are no birds or surface action just spin any of sydneys ledges with a deep drop at your feet the bonnies or other pelagics will be down deep let it sink then a high retreive back will get them >>>

Is that fish on the bottom right a frigate?

If so, was there a different fight compared to the bonnies?

:warp: yes that is a friget mackeral they fight very simalar to bonito, they pretty much have the same little powerfull tail as a bonnie, fight very much the same>>Very nice sushimi <<If you bleed a bonnie straight away they have very nice white flesh...frigets if you do bleed they still have bloody flesh like yellow fin....frigets are the far best live bait in the world???same as a bonnie.....

hey guys sorry i was out trying to get some squid but no luck...bonnies take liveys and do take pillies under floats but by far the best is spinnibg with raiders 35 to 60g,i only use 60 and get alot of other good fish on them to like kingys salmon (frigets, but they are heaps picky, and the odd samson fish......old mans hat only works well on sunrise and sunset tilll dark....
