bashed the harbour today again. similar to last week (thurs) when went out (but didnt write report). incredible number of boats and kayaks on the water at 5.30. on a wednesday? at least the fish r still there.
Squidding was a bit better than previous, got 6 from the size of the jig to a decent breeder. heaps of little yakkas but had to go to several places to get a few deifferent sizes. Saw Bonnies about round dobby but didnt stop for a troll. Went to a few markers - inc neilsen and others but most were full of rats, biggest fish 70cm.
Hooked up something big at quarrantine, most likely a shark cos it pulled 7kg of drag easily and ran me for 50-60m before bust off, but could have been a big mackerel cos the multiple runs were un sharklike. (heard there's been a few about)
Finally went middle harbour way and found a few balls of bait. Hooked up more rats, but generally pretty quiet. Was slack tide by then so not too suprised.
