Marlin off Sydney

Hey guys this is a second hand report for a charter mate but i thought i would post it.

Allie Hunter charters went out yesterday for a game fish off Sydney....headed north towards the baitstation from Sydney heads just as they got there they got onto a big blue.........198kg weighed........They also saw 3 other free jumpers whilst fighting this beakie for 2.2 hours on 37kg....

They have caught a fair few marlin this season but this is there largest by far.

by the way, Hov (in the pic) is about 170cm tall

Nice fish OZ, Hovig has been cleaning up this season. His and George's reports were the reason i went out when i did in December to get the Bills we got, if only i had a bigger boat i would be out there now getting them, this weather does not suit my little baby! Great fish, another mate got one last week, 148kg same place nearly. There are a few around.

They have ben doing very well of late, they did especially well in December, they had a few 3-4 marlins days in those crappy cold waters we had then...

Hovig has become my teacher when it comes to offshore fishing, teaching me alot, I owe my YFT captures last year what he taught and told me.

Hopefully we will see a few more marlin caught over the coming weeks.
